Learning Materials

Developing the materials required for teaching a statistics course for the first time can be overwhelmingly time consuming. While online materials can be found, it is often difficult to determine whether they work in the classroom or how they can be used. MERLOT was designed to help faculty find and choose high-quality online teaching and learning materials quickly and easily.

The MERLOT Statistics collection is organized into academic sub-disciplines and allows users to browse or search for appropriate materials in a variety of ways.

In addition, many of the materials in MERLOT Statistics have been peer reviewed. The peer review process is based on discipline-specific evaluation criteria and uses a common rating system.
